A new weekly club for young people to hang out, chill, listen to music, eat munchies, play console games on a big screen, watch films and plan trips and activities. If you are interested in coming along just turn up and see what happens.

2nd Saturday of every month

10.00am - 12.00noon

£4.00 

These two-hour workshops are run by professional artists and teachers, and offer expert tuition and hands-on experience across a range of fun filled visual arts and crafts activities.  The classes take place on the second Saturday of every month. Advance booking is recommended to avoid disappointment and do wear old clothes as things can get messy. (ages 5-12)

Every Monday during term time

3.15pm - 4.00pm Health Play 3 -7 years

4.00pm - 5.00pm Children's Grades & Youth Dance 8 - 15 years

£3.00 per session

 

A series of classes designed to develop creativity and wellbeing. Dance exercises are created to develop agility, balance, co-ordination, elevation, flexibility and posture. Explore your creative dance and improvisation skills and develop an understanding of rhythm. This season the group will explore the themes of shape, form, line, pattern, sounds and colour.  Please wear loose clothing.


 

Play it by Ear

 

Every Monday during term time

1.30pm - 2.30pm

£2.00 per adult/child + 50p for each additional child

 

A weekly song, music and storytelling session for pre-school children and their parents or carers which now takes place every Monday afternoon. Juice and biscuits included in the price.

Every Sunday during term time

2.00pm

 

The Youth division of the Glenkens 73 Club meet on a regular basis every Sunday afternoon. If you are interested in acting, directing, costumes, sound, lighting, stage management or any other aspect of drama or theatre, then come along and have some fun. The group produce several one act plays per year.

All welcome (Age 10-18).

Volunteer Landmark Reached

 

Volunteer Co-ordinator Wendy Leach, the lady responsible for ensuring we have the required number of personel for each and every event held at the CatStrand and records the number of hours each volunteer has given to the organisation has just announced that so far in 2011 over 2000 hours has now been generously donated.
