Family Film Club

 

First Saturday of the month
11.00am £10 per year ( 1 Adult & 1 Child)
£20 per year ( 2 Adults & 2 Children)

 

Don't be stuck for something to do on a Saturday morning, become a member of our new film club for a yearly subscription and enjoy a family film on the first Saturday of each month. Members will be able to request films for future screenings.

This two hour workshop is led by professional artist Michelle Reynolds who leads the group in a range of fun filled arts & crafts activities with a different theme each month.

December: Make your own Celebration Bunting
January: Burns Poetry Sculptures
February: Lantern Making

The CatStrand's own Youth Theatre meet on a regular basis every Sunday afternoon. If you are interested in acting, directing, costumes, sound, lighting, stage management or any other aspect of drama or theatre, then come along and have some fun. The group produce several one act plays per year. All welcome (Age 10-18).

Every Monday during term time
3.45pm-4.30pm

Health Play, 3-7 Years


Music, a song, a story, a rhyme, an idea, a mood, an object combine in this delightful dance syllabus for pre-school and Early Years. Improvisation and mime form an integral part of each session. Each child learns to explore the dance space and share ideas in a fun and safe environment.

4.30-5.30pm

Children's Grades & Youth Dance, 8-15 years


A series of dance exercises combined with free expression and dance composition help the individual to develop physically, socially, emotionally and intellectually. These classes encourage a creative mind alongside a broad movement vocabulary.

Every Tuesday during term time
7.30pm-9.30pm

 

A weekly club for young people to hang out, chill, listen to music, eat munchies, play console games on a big screen, watch films and plan trips and activities. If you are interested in coming along just turn up and see what happens.

Every Thursday during term time
10am -11am
£2.00 per adult/child + 50p for each additional child

 

A weekly song, music and storytelling session for pre-school children and their parents or carers which now takes place every Monday afternoon. Juice and biscuits included in the price.

Volunteer Landmark Reached

 

Volunteer Co-ordinator Wendy Leach, the lady responsible for ensuring we have the required number of personel for each and every event held at the CatStrand and records the number of hours each volunteer has given to the organisation has just announced that so far in 2011 over 2000 hours has now been generously donated.
