Donald Watson 28 June 1918 - 7 November 2005

Donald Watson was the most prolific bird artist of his generation in Britain. In all, he illustrated at least 30 books, including the Oxford Book of Birds and his own masterpiece on the Hen Harrier. His paintings and sketches number many thousands. Most of his work was undertaken from his family home in St John's Town of Dalry.

A sample of Donald's paintings have been selected for this exhibition, showing the evolution of his art over 40 years. A few of his son Jeff's outstanding photographs are also included.
