Bright Stars Glenkens Community Nursery

Bright Stars is a service regulated by the Care Inspectorate in Scotland for the Daycare of Children.

As of August 2017 we now offer government funded places for eligible two year olds.

This facility aims to offer the children their first taste of independence in a caring, secure, and create environment focusing on learning through play and an emphasis on outdoor activities within our beautiful Glenkens region and garden facility.

There is a wonderful activity room for arts and craft fun and a hall space for indoor games.

Bright Stars regularly organise trips within our local region and warmly welcome support from parents, previous activities have included Forest School, Bug Hunts at Clatteringshaw Loch, Library visits and walks to our local post office and shop.

Parent/Carer input and volunteer opportunities are warmly welcomed in supporting your child’s time and transition into Playgroup, with individual care plans being jointly created between parent/carer and staff.

Bright Stars is open 9am-3pm, term time only. Offering morning (9am-12pm), afternoon (12-3pm) or all day (9am-3pm) sessions. We offer private and ELC funded places with optional pick up from Dalry School Nursery for wrap around care. Lunch options also available.

We are able to accept Child Care Voucher Scheme payments.
