Exhibition: Valerie Sadler
From Sunday 2 November
CatStrand Opening Hours
Valerie Sadler was born in Fife, but could almost call herself a Gallovidian as she has lived and worked within its borders for many years, including the parish of Dalry.
Her particular interests and range of subject matter cover landscape, still life and domesticated animals, using a variety of materials to interpret the mood.
She is a graduate of Edinburgh College of Art, a professional member of Visual Art Scotland and Glasgow Society of Women Artists.
The exhibition runs until the end of December

Box Club
Tuesday 25 November
8.00pm
£10.00 / £8.00
Bursting with energy and enthusiasm, Box Club are ready to take the music world by storm. With a front line of four young virtuoso accordion players and a remarkably strong rhythm section, this inventive outfit from Glasgow can't fail to impress. Each of the accordionists bring their own individual style of accordion playing to the band. Bright west coast traditional tunes intertwine with driving reels and jigs, eastern European polkas, beautiful airs and Strathspeys in joyful quirky, tight and imaginative arrangements.
The strong accompanying team on guitar, double bass and drums are an integral part of the Box Club sound - complementing the accordion front line with a creative mixture of rhythmic lines and grooves.
