English for Speakers of Other Languages: ESOL

Improving your English can help you get more out of your life in the UK. It will also help if you want to study or improve your CV. Improving your English will make it easier to talk to doctors and teachers; understand the laws and customs of the UK; do a course and get a qualification; help your children with homework, and pass the Life in the UK test and become a British citizen. The ESOL course involved speaking and listening; reading and writing; vocabulary, punctuation and grammar.

Courses delivered at the CatStrand by the Stewartry Community Learning and Development Service.

'Brush up your skills'

Do forms and letters confuse you? Do you want a new job, but afraid your writing isn’t up to it? This is a free learning programme at the CatStrand delivered by the Stewartry Community Learning and Development Service. It is not an academic course. It is simple, practical help and support from a qualified tutor to help with all the reading, writing and number skills that we need in today’s world. The way the sessions are run is informal and friendly and every learner will have their own ‘learning plan’ made out by the tutor.

Come along to one of our free sessions.
