The CatStrand, is located in the town of New Galloway in the Glenkens. The Glenkens is set in the heart of Dumfries and Galloway between Ayr and Dumfries. New Galloway is easily reached by road from the A713 (Castle Douglas to Ayr Road). There are also regular bus routes into New Galloway (the 520 from Dalry, Castle Douglas,and Ayr, and the 521 from Castle Douglas and Dumfries). The nearest railway stations are Ayr and Dumfries which have frequent train services from Glasgow and Carlisle.
